Data verification at other public administrations
If the applicant has given consent, AMB will carry out any necessary consultations with bodies from the group listed below. The specific bodies to be consulted depend on the type of registration that is being applied for. The objective is to verify that the applicant meets the required conditions and qualifies for any discounts on fees as laid down in the applicable fiscal by-law.
Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT), to verify or consult the vehicle data, and to consult the register of vehicles that have been left at repair shops.
Directorate-General for Police (DGP), to verify or consult identity details.
Secretariat for Social Inclusion and Promotion of Personal Autonomy (SISPAP) of the Department of Social Rights of the Catalan Government, to check official recognition of disability or to check the disability ID card.
State Public Employment Service (SEPE), to consult the amounts the applicant is currently receiving in the form of benefits.
National Social Security Institute (INSS),) to consult the Social Security benefits the citizen is receiving, and establish their level of income.
Social Security Treasury General (TGSS), to check the applicant's employment status.
State Tax Agency (AEAT), to check the applicant's income tax return and personal income.
Barcelona City Council, to consult housing benefits the applicant receives.
Catalan Housing Agency, to consult housing benefits the applicant receives.
Department of Social Rights of the Catalan Government, to consult income support benefits the applicant receives.
Catalan Public Health Service (CatSalut), to check the periodic medical treatments being administered.
Barcelona Public Health Agency (ASPB), to validate compliance with requirements of the authorisations granted to individuals with medical conditions that affect their ability to use public transport.
After carrying out those consultations that are deemed strictly necessary with regard to the type of application, AMB will notify applicants of acceptance or rejection of their request for inclusion in the Metropolitan Registry in the pertinent category.
To confirm the veracity of the data provided by the holder of the Register entry, the Administration may, at any time, carry out any verifications it deems necessary and enter into any collaboration agreements with public and private entities it deems appropriate.
